Overview:
Mt Huashan which translated to “flower mountain” is about a 2.5 hours drive from Xi’an and is one of the most famous mountain in China. It tallest of 5 peaks is the southern peak at 2160m. It is home to many Daoist temples and is considered the holy land of Daoism.
Daoist believe that it is home to the god of the underworld. Once at the base of Mt. Huashan you will ascend to the peak by cable car from the Jade Fountain Temple and classical gardens. You will hike along a foot path and have beautiful views of the surrounding valley.
