Overview:
If you have an interest theology or desire to know more about world religions, the Three Religion Excursions tour is a unique and highly educational experience. The Louguan Temple is located in the Zhongnan Mountains and is a short drive from Xi’an. It is called “the first land of the blessed under heaven” and is the most famous Taoist shrine in China and dates back to the 11th Century B.C. The pagoda located at Caotang Temple built during the Tang Dynasty contains the remains of Kumarajiva, the eminent Buddhist monk in the Later Qin dynasty.
The structure is commonly called the “Eight-Color Jade Pagoda” because its core is constructed from jade that contains a variety of colors such as white, green, black, yellow, red, blue, purple, and gray. Finally, the Museum of Steles and Stone Sculptures or the Beilin Museum was built on the site of an 11th Century Confucius Temple. There are over 3000 steles or carved stone tablets, paintings, calligraphy writings and other historic artifacts of Confucianism.
