Q: Where do I meet my guide?
A: Our guides will always meet our guests in the lobby of their hotel or any pre-arranged meeting place such as the airport or train station upon your arrival. Our guides will call a day in advance to confirm the meeting time and place. Guides will also carry a sign with your name to ensure that you can find us easily. Guests will be dropped of at the hotel at the conclusion of the tour.

Q: What is the departure time of your tours?
A: The usual departure time is 08:00, however, this time may be adjusted upon request. Please note that if you move the departure time to later than the planned departure time you may not be not be able to see all sites included in the tour package.

Q: Are you guides multi-lingual?
A: Yes. In addition to native Mandarin, we have guides that speak English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Russian, Korean, Japanese, and Cantonese. Please be sure to specify which language you require the guide to speak.

Q: What size tours can you accommodate?
A: We can accommodate any size tour. Please be sure to indicate the number of persons in your party when booking your tour or submitting a tour inquiry form.

Q: Do you offer discounts for multi-tour packages?
A: Yes. If you are staying in the Xi’an area for multiple days, we are happy to be your guide for as many tours as you would like to take. If you do tour with us for two or more tours, we do offer you a discount on the single tour rate.

Q: Are your tours private?
A: Yes. Only you and those in your party will be traveling in your tour group. We find that private tours are the most enjoyable for clients and allow our guide to provide the best service.

Q: How are your tours priced?
A: Our tours and excursions are priced individually for each request based on the number of persons in your party and the tours that you purchase. Discounts are frequently provided when multiple day tours are purchased. Child rates are available for children under 12. A per person pricing summary will be provided to you once an inquiry has been submitted and assessed by one of our tour planners.

Q: How do I pay for a tour?
A: Payment may be made by Visa or MasterCard via a fax authorization form, Visa or MasterCard via PayPal, direct PayPal funds transfer or a bank wire transfer. A 10% deposit will be collect for all tours booked before 30 days prior to travel and full payment will be collected 30 days from your first scheduled tour. If you book a tour less than 30 days from travel, full payment will be collected at the time of booking.

Q: Do you offer refunds for cancelled tours?
A: Full refunds are provided if you submit a written request via e-mail to cancel a tour at least 1 week prior to the scheduled date of your tour. You are eligible for a 50% refund if you submit a request to cancel a tour 72 hours prior. No refunds will be provided if you cancel less than 72 hours prior to your scheduled tour.

Q: What type of vehicle do you used on your tours?
A: The size of your party and type of vehicle can be customized to your preference. For parties of 2 or more, we typically use a use a large car or spacious van that will fit your party, your guide and personal driver.

Q: Can I create my own tour package?
A: Yes. While we provide a standard set of tours for you to choose, we allow our customers to create custom tours based on their preferences and their schedule. Please send us your requested tour destinations or name of the sites you would like to see. We can also create a custom tour and select unique and exciting locations for you. We simply need you to provide your interests, tour experience and time schedule.

Q: Are the admission fees for museums and other tourist attractions included in my tour price?
A: Yes. Our packages include all admission fees and also the cost of lunch when listed as part of your tour. Since TWC Tours purchase tickets in bulk and have special agreements with certain restaurants, we are able to pass the savings on to our clients.

Q: Do you provide transportation to/from the airport or train station?
A: Yes. TCW Tours does provide guide service and transportation from the Xi’an Xianyang International Airport or Xi’an train station to your hotel or other desired destination. Guide service to/from the airport or train station may be combined with a tour package or may be performed as a standalone travel service.

Q: Should we tip our guide?
A: Our tours guides work hard to ensure that and your safety. While tips are not required, tips are greatly appreciated by our guides. Tip amount are generally based on how much our guests enjoyed their time with our guides and the visits in Xi’an and surround areas.
